We had some thunderstorms pass through last night--nothing severe, and nothing like what I heard happened in Nashville--jeez, that is where The Accident happened. But enough to get the kids all nice and fired up right at bedtime.
The observation went so well, as always--I don't know why I always stress about these things.
Since I have a relatively light workload this weekend, I am taking advantage by trying to CLEAN UP THIS OFFICE. Organize, file, recycle, put-away in proper places...you know the drill. A bit of a pain, but must be done.
And that is about the extent of My Life right now, besides spending 4 1/2 hours at the car dealership yesterday getting a safety recall on the Truck taken care of...it is our only vehicle now, we need to make sure nothing happens to us in it as well.
Ah--something to look forward to--tickets to Garrison Keillor in May, kind of for our anniversary. We decided to go ahead and do it, but we're going to the show that is not the live broadcast so we can get better seats.
It always helps to have something to anticipate.

Hi Mapiprincesa - Glad things are relatively normal for you again. Garrison Keillor is sometimes on our radio over here so I know the guy and his brand of humour - very non-New York shall we say? Hope you enjoy it. :)
ResponderEliminarHaving my mother's entire side of her family from Minnesota, I can very much relate to Mr. Keillor's style and humor.
ResponderEliminarNow...back to cleaning up this office!!!
Hi.. how are things going??? I see you work weekends. LOL I am happy if I get a chance to vacuum admist the naps.
ResponderEliminarHA! For some reason, I can find one million things to clean when I have more pressing matters (such as papers that are due...). You'd think there would be less dust in this house with the amount of papers I've had due this semseter! Good luck, and good to hear you have something to look forward to!
ResponderEliminarI love Minnesotans (what is the correct collective noun for them?) They remind me of Southlanders - where I come from - for some reason. I think it's the people of the land, the dry sense of humour - the way they can tell a joke with a straight face ... Isn't it Minnesota that features in the film 'Fargo'? One of my fav scenes in that film is the two men discussing the weather. All you can see is the backview of their large furlined hooded parkas and the phrase, 'Yup. Yup." features quite a bit! It's great!! One of my best friends here in Dunedin is a mid-west American and she's married to a Minnesota guy - he's got the accent. It cracks me up everytime i hear him talk. Yup. Yup. :)
