December

I turned the calendar today. December.

I hate December.

It is amazing how different I can feel from one day to the next. Yesterday was November, weather-wise very similar to today, no huge difference...

...except for that turned page of the calendar.

  1. For me, December signifies "finished". Its a busy month and usually flies by. I don't care for it mostly because of the weather, even though March, historically, has shown us some of the meanest weather of the year. The storm warnings are still up but we never know if we are really going to get it until its happening. The only thing I worry over is having trees fall on the house or power lines. One year it was terrible...everything was coated with nearly an inch of ice and when you stood outside all you could hear was breaking and crashing limbs and the heavy "thump" of something hitting the ground. Truly nature's war zone. Enjoy your weekend...read some Beatrice Potter to your babies.

  2. December. The month of the shortest day of the year. The month that makes me want to put my pajamas on as soon as I come home. The month winter starts to set in.

Christmas helps because it gets my mind off of the dark. It's something to look forward to. January, February and March are my hardest months.

Hang in there or better yet, keep your calendar on November. :)
