all is well

With the heavy, overcast skies trapping the cool dampness from an overnight rain shower in the earth, I hear my garden calling me, challenging me to take back control. Young Prince's fever left as quickly as it came yesterday. Although he is ready to go back to school, I'll hold him another day so he can rid himself of his headache by helping me in the garden. Princesita is as strong as always. I give myself the morning.

Let's see what I can accomplish!

  1. My garden is calling me, too. I have perennials to put in the ground and weeds to pull. My daughter has other ideas about how we should spend our day.

I hope the weather is as nice your way as it is in SW Ontario. Sunny, cool, and just enough breeze that the leaves are swirling gently from the trees.

  2. Gosh I love to garden. It feels like all of my work is done indoors with the ever building pile of laundry and dishes... *sigh* One day I'll get my hands in God's green earth again.

  3. Gardening is so healthy. Working the earth. Planting from seed. Knowing that we can't control everything, things grow and thrive on their own. Be well!

  4. I'm sorry you were having a blah spell, and also understand the need to get your hands into the earth. My garden calls as well, although I need to wait out the wonderful rain.

  5. It was a lovely day and much was done, Arial. Tomorrow--even more!

Come on up for a visit, T. I have just under 1/3 acre lot and therefore LOTS of gardening to do!

Gardening is so cathartic, Dads--and the instant gratification is amazing. Mother Nature is a force to be respected; I'm glad I have the tools to teach my children this lesson.

Citizen, I am glad to hear some rain has finally reached you. Blah is a part of Life; the spells just aren't much fun to experience.

    Be well, all.
